Here at team hostile we’ve been working dam hard on the project, and we’ve made the decision (now set in stone) that Hostile will be a singleplayer shooter that will hopefully have an open beta by Christmas, if not we will definitely have gameplay videos. For a special little tease here are the renders of the high poly version of the new Ghost, version 6.

Pre production began a week or two back and we’ve got some great ideas that you guys will (hopefully :P ) love. THe project is not mainly a MP project but again, anything can happen ;) .
Expect a video demonstration post early october.

Pre-production began today, all our plans are laid out and we haven’t anticipated any problems so far. Good news: multiplayer has a good chance of making it, bad news: anything can happen.

OK, we have a broad outline of the project, so I’ll give you viewers some deats.

Pre-Production concepting and designing begins 1st August
Production begins around september ( I don’t have the docs on me at the moment) and ends on the 17th of december.

This is the initial plan, it is subject to change (maybe dramatically) depending on problems that surface. On the other hand if we’re doing good for time, our multiplayer project might become more than a pipe-dream.

I’ll be doing weekly updates after production starts so this blog won’t be updated very regularly until it begins since pre productions gunna be fair busy piled on with other shit/school stuff that I have to deal with.

All an All cheers and I’d like to thank everybody over at polycount.net that helped me a huge amount (many lessons on anatomy I recall :P )

Work on the HUD/w00t

So this morning I decided to do a little HUD in photoshop, looks pretty good and there will be more animated things like health, suit status etc.

I’m also happy to welcome our new rigger animator, Suresh – he’s brilliant and hopefully we’ll be seeing some clips of the Trék animations soon!
